A NEW ERA

While a part of this class the main focus was to discover what art means to this world by vacating the borders in which it exists. What does that mean? Well to me that means exactly what art should be. It should be left up to the interpretation of viewers. Art shall have no borders in what it means to the people creating it or the people viewing it.

The digital world of art has given art more visibility. It has broadened the community of people who can view and appreciate the art, expanding its outreach across national borders. In my opinion the digital revolution appreciates all forms of art and welcomes the new. The artists we learned about in 33 Artists in 3 Acts taught us just that.

Art without borders to me is demonstrated perfectly by this globe to the left. A world of art in which geographical borders do not exist. The art world and the world in general are appreciated as one, in which differences are not significant enough to exist or to be seen.
